Gorgeous Latino is a black GLOCK’s Toto Jr. son out of the highly successful Manda line from Stal Hexagon–pure proven dressage lines. Latino holds a Dutch record, earning 95 points during his approvals, the highest score ever given by the NRPS, and aced the stallion test, earning 8.25 with a junior rider. Edward Gal voiced why Dutch national Champion Toto Jr. is one of Totilas’s most popular sons: “I have the feeling that Toto Jr. can be even better than Totilas. In the walk, demonstrating outstanding ground cover, the trot and canter, his light-footedness, balance, and strong uphill tendency are captivating. His nature is outstanding.” Dam, Blackmanda, has three generations of mares that performed at the highest levels and produced successful Grand Prix horses and licensed stallions for Stal Hexagon. Damsire Dutch Champion, Rubiquil, represents the ultimate in rideability and won gold at the European Championships. Latino and Sabine Schut-Kery earned 87.9% and subsequently 91.5% in the FEI 6-Year-Old Test–the highest qualifying score in the U.S. Representing the U.S. at the FEI/WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championships in Ermelo, Netherlands, they placed fourth in the small final on the world stage. In 2022 and 2023, Latino is the highest-ranking U.S. FEl horse in his age group. In 2023, Latino won the 7-year-old Dressage National Championships. His offspring are well represented by top performances. Gorgeous Latino foals show quality and earned several Hanoverian gold medals.
