Sonnenberg’s Jersey is a fully approved KWPN stallion by the legendary Preferent stallion, Vivaldi.
Jersey passed his KWPN performance test as a 3-year-old and was the highlight of the KWPN
Stallion Select Sale, purchased for development by Stoeterij Turfhorst. Jersey's test scores included:
7.5 walk, 8.0 trot, 9.0 canter, 8.0 elasticity, 8.5 posture and balance, rideability and talent. Jersey
was champion of the small final FEI WBFSH Young Horse Championships in 2021 and ZZ National
Champion in 2022. Jersey’s sire, Vivaldi, was reserve champion of his performance test; winner
of the KWPN finals—scoring a 10 trot, and showed internationally with success. He produced
35 licensed sons and many internationally successful offspring. He shattered all records with a
2-year-old son at the 2019 Hanoverian auction, selling for 2.01 million euros. Jersey’s dam—a
highly predicated KWPN mare (Keur,Pref,Prest)—produced five offspring shown successfully at
PSG/I1 and Grand Prix dressage. She is by Preferent Olympic Ferro—team silver, European and
World Cup finalist, adding a dash of Thoroughbred to the mix. In 2023, Jersey ranked No. 1 in the
U.S. at Prix St. George, averaging 73.6%, and was U.S. National Champion Developing Horse Prix St.
Georges. In 2024, Jersey ranked No.1 in the U.S. showing in the small tour, and at Lamplight was
the U.S. National Champion at Intermediare 1 with Sabine Schut-Kery. Piaffe and passage will be
one of his highlights when he competes in the big tour.
