Utopie is an international show jumper with great rideability and a fantastic disposition. He was successful at 1.60m with Marc Houtzager (NL), Candice King, Nicole Bellissimo and Kirsten Coe. He won the stallion competition in 2006/07 and was the first KWPN stallion of his licensing class to debut in the 1.60m with two clean rounds. Despite his focus on showing, he was sixth on the KWPN list for leading sires of offspring jumping 1.30m or higher, following closely behind Heartbreaker, Mr. Blue and Cantos–with 27.9% competing above that level. Utopie, a light type with correct conformation, has 56.4% consolidated Thoroughbred performance blood, combining Ramiro (Ramzes A) blood on top with Thoroughbred blood from Dutch toppers Lucky Boy xx, Uppercut xx and Tangelo xx and French blood from Calvados (Ibrahim AA) and Rigoletto (Ramzes AA). His sire Jacomar’s 1.60m successes include third at the 2003 CSI05* Nations Cup in Dublin and first at the 2002 CSIO Grand Prix of Dublin. His dam, Pherna, competed at 1.60m, scoring 9.0 and 8.5 for her jumping on her IBOP. This line produced many grand prix jumpers. Granddam Cerna had five siblings jumping at the highest national level. Utopie was awarded KWPN top keuring sire, producing KWPN Star mares and several sons making it to the second and third round KWPN testing. In 2022, his offspring won the highest total in the U.S.–$150,000 in winnings, making Utopie the top producer.
