Lord Adonis was raised and developed in Germany by renowned international Grand Prix jumper, Rene Tebbel. Tebbel presented him for licensing at the Oldenburg Hengst-Tage. Just two months after import, he attended the North American Stallion Sport Test where judges remarked, “Lord Adonis impressed because of his good type and his long legs...In jumping, his ability was especially impressive; in dressage, he received high rideability values.” Highlights included: 9.0s for character, constitution, stadium jumping and free jumping and 8.5s for temperament, cross country and walk. His modern type, confident yet quiet demeanor, and versatile talents have him licensed with most studbooks. Sire Lordanos, a USEF Leading Jumping Sire successful in 1.40m and 1.50m classes for 11 years, has more than 34 offspring that jumped at the 1.60m level. Damsire, Raphael, sired 1.60m jumpers and Grand Prix dressage horses, adding in nice movement to a big, beautiful jump.
