Eskardo is a bright red chestnut stallion by Escudo I out of a Lauries Crusador xx dam. Both of these sires have produced numerous licensed sons and are some of the most sought-after bloodlines in German Hanoverian breeding. Eskardo’s pedigree is a wonderful combination of athleticism from his jumper bloodlines, along with the refinement, elegance and beautiful gaits from his dressage bloodlines. He has a wonderfully kind temperament and work ethic, which he passes to his offspring. His offspring have been exceptionally easy to work with and have proven to be steady competitors as well. Several of Eskardo’s U.S. offspring have been shown in the dressage ring, with numerous wins and placings through USDF Fourth Level and a number of placings in the USDF regional championships including an invitation to compete at the USDF National Finals for his son, Eclipse HM. Eskardo’s daughter, Eloquence M, earned her performance scores at Third Level in 2019 to receive her Premium mare status. In 2013, an Eskardo daughter in Germany produced the champion colt at the 2013 German Foal Championships. In 2014, another of Eskardo’s daughters in Germany produced the top-selling horse in the Oldenburg Summer Auction. In 2015, an Eskardo grandson, produced by one of his daughters in Germany, was licensed by the German Oldenburg Verband as a Premium stallion and was named reserve champion of the licensing in Germany.
