Canada and the US! This sporty stallion had a successful career competing in grand prix jumping
with his amateur owner in both national and international competitions up to 1.55m. A son
of the 1.60m stallion, Warrant (sire of Beezie Madden’s top horse, Garant) and grandson of the
mighty Numero Uno, Ebony is a rare maternal grandson of the historic stallion Jasper, who, as
Little One, competed with Hugo Simon to the highest level of the sport. He is especially interesting
for Holsteiner-bred mares who possess a high concentration of Capitol and Corde blood—you
do not find any C-line breeding in his pedigree until Calando I in the seventh generation, which
means this rare stallion has exactly one cross to Cor de la Bryere and no Capitol. He is a compact,
modern-type stallion with sharp reflexes, a great mind and big heart. Ebony is also drop-dead
gorgeous and an incredible mover with a flat kneed trot and lofty ground-covering canter, making
him a great stallion to use on both hunter and jumper mares. He’s a very sweet and laid-back
stallion, and we feel incredibly lucky to have him in our barn. Ebony is available by the dose, as
well as with a two-year live foal guarantee, and available to breeders seven days a week from
April 1 to Oct. 1 with no show schedule impacting his availability.
