Herford, Germany: The USEF Pair Horse driver Misdee Wrigley Miller represented the USA in style during this year’s Lützow Horse Days in Herford, Germany. Wrigley Miller placed 1st in dressage and 4th in cones. Wrigley Miller held onto 1st after marathon, thanks to her 11.01 point lead in dressage. She placed 4th in marathon, 8.73 points behind the marathon winner Rudolf Huber. Both Huber and Wrigley Miller the victor. Wrigley Miller’s pairs team includes Sarasko, a 2011 bay Hessen gelding sired by Silvano N and out of Aloe, a daughter of the Hanoverian stallion Azett.
It’s been a great year of this talented driver, as Wrigley-Miller also won her first USEF National Pairs Championship at the 2013 Live Oak International in March 2013. She adds this win to her growing list of accomplishments that includes the 2011 FEI World Pair Driving Championship.
Misdee Wrigley Miller resides in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, but the family has owned historic Hillcroft Farm in Paris, Kentucky for years. Hillcroft is home to an antique carriage collection that began with two carriages inherited from Misdee’s great-grandparents. More than just collector’s items, all of the carriages are used in pleasure drives and competitions as both Misdee and her husband, James, are avid drivers. Misdee is president of the World Coaching Club and James is a member of the New York Coaching Club.
