In 2023 the AHS announced the Jumper Mare Star Program. In addition to being selected for the JBP program, mares that reach certain further achievements may be designated with one or more stars. Mares that receive their star designation(s) will have the appropriate Jumper Mare Star logo added to their registration papers.

In addition to being selected for Jumper Breeding Program, mares that reach certain further achievements may be designated with one or more stars as follows:

•  Jumper Mare* (One Star) - Achievement Based on Mare Performance Test
  Any mare with an overall score for free jumping of 8.5 and an appropriate jumping pedigree
•  Jumper Mare** (Two Stars) - Achievement Based on Mare’s Success in Sport
  Any mare with three (3) placings first through fifth at 1.30m, or above, in either: i) classes with at least fifteen (15) horses, or ii) with clear rounds, at USEF “A” rated or Equine Canada class “1” shows,
•  Jumper Mare*** (Three Stars) - Achievement Based on Offspring Success in Sport
  Two offspring, each with at least one placing first through fifth at 1.40m, or above, in either: i) classes with at least fifteen (15) horses, or ii) with clear rounds, at USEF “A” rated or Equine Canada class “1” shows. The Jumper Mare Three Star Award*** may be awarded posthumously.

Mares that receive a star designation will have the appropriate Jumper Mare Star Program logo added to their offsprings registration papers.
