Let’s Gather! AHS Annual Membership Meeting on Feb. 21!

Did you know the Chinese New Year begins on February 17? This year ushers in the Year of the Fire Horse, a rare and powerful cycle known as a “Double Fire” year—symbolizing boldness, rapid growth, courage, and dynamic change.

How fitting that this celebration falls just days before our Annual Membership Meeting! We invite you to join us in Houston as we honor the spirit of the Fire Horse and come together for an inspiring day dedicated to all things Hanoverian, Rhineland, and American Hanoverian Riding Pony! Mark your calendars for a truly exceptional one-day experience filled with education, inspiration, and a vibrant sense of community. We’re thrilled to announce that the 2026 AHS Annual Meeting will take place on Saturday Feb. 21, 2026 at the luxurious Haras Hacienda, located just outside Houston, Texas!

Friday Evening Welcome Social

Celebrate the start of the Chinese New Year with the American Hanoverian Society and the Houston Dressage Society's Meet & Greet at Laura's Saddlery! Join us as we kick off our annual membership meeting on Feb 20 in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere—perfect for reconnecting with friends and making new ones. Come unwind, chat, and enjoy time with fellow enthusiasts in our local community.

We’re especially excited to welcome our distinguished guests, Maren Schlender, Deputy Breeding Manager Hannoveraner Verband and Lilo Fore, USEF "S" Judge and retired FEI 5* Judge. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet our guests, ask questions, and share great conversation.

Saturday at Haras Hacienda
On Saturday morning, we’ll board a charter bus to gather at the stunning Haras Hacienda to begin our day with the AHS Annual Meeting, featuring important society updates, committee highlights, and valuable insights from the Hanoverian Verband on Hanoverians around the world. After the meeting, we'll head to the outside arena for an educational symposium with USEF "S" Judge and retired FEI 5* Judge Lilo Fore.

Lilo will facilitate a clinic on "Training and Development Up the Levels – From Training Level to Grand Prix," that combines a classical clinic format with a variety of horses and riders geared towards the spectator experience. Learn Lilo's theories on evaluating prospects, show ring expectations at each level, and how conformation and character influence progress. Anyone is welcome to audit Lilo's clinic for $45, which includes lunch. Please complete the registration form below.
