Dubarry was licensed in Verden in 2011 and 70-day tested at Adelheidsdorf in 2013. He placed fourth in dressage with a score of 138. Highlights from his test were receiving 8.5s for trot, gallop and rideability. Dubarry is a modern, black stallion with enormous freedom in his shoulders and a powerful hind leg. He is straightforward in his character and temperament, making him easy to ride. His sire, Don Frederico, also jet black and a modern type, was named Hanoverian Stallion of the Year by the German Verband. Dubarry’s dam, Ribana, is by the famous stallion Rubinstein. Rubinstein himself is also known for exceptional temperament and rideability. Two Dubarry sons were chosen for the Stallion Pre-Selection in Germany. His daughter, Hann. Pr. A. Dayna (Dubarry/Weltmeyer), qualified for the prestigious Herwart von der Decken Mare Show. Offspring are showing and in the ribbons. Dubarry foals were noted to be very typey and elegant with three excellent gaits. Won Cosmo’s filly, Dumark Augustina, owned and bred by Marcie Scheskie, won a Gold Medal foal award at her Hanoverian inspection. The 2020-2023 tours saw top inspection foals by Dubarry, five more Gold Medals and several futurity winners. Der Fiete is now competing at Intermediare I. Denali, a successful 3* eventer in Ireland, made the cover of Irish Horse World. Dubarry has proven to be a consistent producer of leggy types with three outstanding gaits and a golden character. His foals are liked by the buyers.
