In 2017 the AHS for the first time presented an award for the overall Champion Hunter, recognizing the Hanoverian horse that earned the highest placing in its USEF Hunter Division standings.
Bent Hickory Farm generously is sponsoring this award, known as the Premonition BHF Perpetual Trophy, named in honor of their exceptional homebred mare, Premonition BHF (Pablo – SPS Galaxis/Ganymed), who was the inaugural winner. In 2018 Premonition, ridden by Jordan Toering, distinguished herself even further—she was the USEF Horse of the Year in the Junior Hunters (3'6" 16-17 year-olds), finishing first nationally in her division.
