Breeding for Correctness, Talent & Partnership:

Don’t miss this stall-side interview with the brilliant Kate Shoemaker - dressage rider, Paralympic medalist, performance veterinarian, and sport horse breeder - featured at the American Hanoverian Society’s Annual Meeting.

Kate’s insights into performance, breeding, training, and building lasting partnerships with horses offer a fresh perspective and valuable takeaways. Enjoy the full conversation with host, Laura St Clair here.

Kate's mare and ride in the 2024 Paris Paralympics, Vianne (Vitalis x Raureif/Ramiro's Bube) was bred in the US by Catherine Hadded Staller. Laura interviewed Catherine, International rider, trainer and breeder, to discuss her home-bred Hanoverian mare, Vianne’s path to the WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championships for Young Horses. Listen to this podcast as Catherine explains her breeding philosophy and success breeding Vianne here. Enjoy!

We were honored to have with us Maren Schlender, Deputy Breeding Manager and Studbook International Manager for the Hannoveraner Verband. She presented the 2024 breeding and auction statistics. She also shared with us an exciting video reviewing the 2024 results for Hanoverian mares as the Herwart von der Decken-Schau. The video also featured the successful stallions at the dressage and show jumping licensing. You can view Maren's presentation here and the video here.
