Soliere–a black Hanoverian stallion, bred and licensed in Germany in 2006–combines the modern
brilliance of Sandro Hit with the proven influence of Donnerhall. His dam, Donatella, was an
Elite Mare, and his granddam, Premium mare, St. Pr. Elfe, produced the stallion, Fidermark.
Solière’s career began under German rider Eva Möller: winning two classes at the 2008 World
Championships for Young Horses in Verden, claiming two victories at the Hanoverian Riding Horse
Championships in Verden in 2010, and becoming Vice Champion at the Federal Championships in
Warendorf with an 8.0 for trot and canter, 9.0 for conformation and 8.0 for overall presentation.
Solière and Möller won the Silver medal at the World Breeding Dressage Championships for
Young Horses with a 9.12 and placed fifth in the Small Tour at the CDI Fritzens in 2014 with
Borja Carrascosa Martinez. In the U.S. with Katherine Mathews, Soliere earned the 2020 Reserve
National Championship at the Festival of Champions in the Young Rider division, scoring 70.809%
and winning the Team test. In 2021, Kate and Solière represented Team USA on the Young Rider
European Tour in Germany, earning team and individual Bronze medals, and then won team Gold
at the North American Youth Championships. Solière has an exceptional temperament, three
outstanding gaits and a natural talent for collection, yet remains one of the kindest and most
personable horses in the barn.
