Lantanas’ exquisite type and expressive gaits instantly capture attention. He received an
excellent report at his KWPN Stallion Test, earning 8.0s or higher for all three gaits and praised
for willingness to work, talent for dressage, and uphill balance. He’s competed in stallion
competitions and young horse classes, including earning a score of 81.4 points at the PAVO Cup
Finals. His sire, Sir Donnerhall, has more than 100 approved sons, 221 States Premium daughters,
Young Horse champions, and many Grand Prix CDI horses to his record. Sir Donnerhall has ranked
as high as third on the WBFSH Dressage Sire Rankings and his sire, Sandro Hit, held a top ten
placing for more than a decade. Sir Donnerhall’s damsire, Donnerhall, has had an incredible impact
on dressage breeding, and the Sandro Hit-Donnerhall combination has been an effective breeding
nick. Lantanas is out of the Prestatie mare, Lantana V, who produced two licensed stallions, the
Grand Prix mare, Vitana V, and is granddam of Grand Prix stallion Cennin. Her sire, Hemmingway,
competed at the World Championships for Young Horses and through 1.40m in jumping. This
jumping blood is important to infuse into dressage breeding, and Hemmingway sired offspring
successful in multiple disciplines as befits his versatile Holsteiner roots. Lantana's influence on
type and movement is seen in his offspring. His daughters in Holland were well received at IBOP
tests in 2025, with Sivieta S and Santana both earning elite status and scores over 80. He already
has two approved sons and 13 Ster mares to his credit.
