Lantana's exquisite type and expressive gaits instantly capture your attention. He received an
excellent report at his KWPN Stallion Test and earned 8.0s or higher for all three gaits and was
praised for his willingness to work, his talent for dressage and his uphill balance. He’s competed
in the stallion competitions and young horse classes including earning a score of 81.4 points at
the PAVO Cup Finals. His sire, Sir Donnerhall, has over 100 approved sons, 221 States Premium
daughters, Young Horse Champions, and many Grand Prix CDI horses to his record. Sir Donnerhall
has ranked as high as third on the WBFSH Dressage Sire Rankings and his sire, Sandro Hit, held a
top 10 placing for over 10 years. Sir Donnerhall’s damsire, the legendary Donnerhall, has had an
incredible impact on dressage breeding, and the Sandro Hit/Donnerhall combination has been an
especially effective breeding nick. Lantanas’ damline is of particular interest. His dam is a Prestatie
mare who produced two licensed stallions, the Grand Prix mare Vitana V, and is the granddam for
the Grand Prix stallion, Cennin. Her sire, Hemmingway, competed at the World Championships
for Young Horses and competed through 1.40m in show jumping. This valuable jumping blood
is important to infuse into dressage breeding. Hemmingway has sired offspring successful in
multiple disciplines as befits his versatile Holsteiner roots. Lantana's influence on type and
movement is clearly seen in his early offspring. He already has two approved sons and 11 Ster
mares to his credit.
