AHS Board Nominations Now Open
If you are passionate about Hanoverian/Rhineland horses and breeding, it’s time to consider running for the AHS Board of Directors. Devote your time and energy to ensuring the AHS helps our industry remain viable, meets member needs, and stays strong.
Currently, term limits are six years, though the Board is recommending a change to reduce this to four years pending approval by the membership. There are seven meetings per year. Two of the meetings are in person--the Annual Meeting at the beginning of each year and a Board-only retreat in August (both are self-funded). The other five meetings take place approximately bi-monthly via conference call.
There are seven positions up for election this year – each of the regional directors (West, Mid-west, East) and three Directors-at-Large. In addition, nominations will be taken to fill a 3-year position left open by a resigning member.
Nominations are now open and being accepted until October 15. Nominees must have been an Active/Regular member for at least the last three years and must be nominated by another member. You’ll find a link to the nomination form below. It can be completed and emailed to Joanne Hodges, Executive Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
