Top Price at the Beginning

Verden. Right at the start of the two-part Verden Online Auction of Foals, the colt Benz achieved the top price with head number one. The virtual auction hammer fell for 61,500 Euros for the Bonds/Spörcken son. 103 foals later, the average price was fixed at 11,428 Euros.

The bidding for the Bonds/Spörcken son Benz (breeder and exhibitor: Friedrich Wilhelm Gerke, Klötze) lasted almost exactly half an hour. 15 bidders participated with a total of 77 bids. A customer from the Rhine-Main area, who had already bought an offspring by Bonds in this way twelve months ago, had the most staying power. Benz' dam, Hann.Pr.St. Symphathe, is herself a former auction foal and four years ago presented her first son, Frankie Lee by Franziskus, at the Verden show case.

Two other colts found a new owner for over 50,000 Euros. The Franziskus/Sorento son Franco Nero III (breeder and exhibitor: Stefan Hermann, Northeim) was worth 50,500 Euros to a breeder from the USA. Vigodance by Viva Gold/Florencio (breeder and exhibitor: Dieter Erdmann, Hagen) will start his journey to Ukraine for 55,000 Euros. He will be accompanied by the Bon Vivaldi NRW/Sir Donnerhall daughter Bonita (breeder and exhibitor: Andreas Middelkampf, Badbergen), who was sold at 30,000 Euros.

All in all, especially the fillies made a brilliant impression. This was rewarded with good prices. 33,000 Euros were paid for the For Austria/De Niro-daughter For Lady (breeder and exhibitor: Dr. Rolf-Peter Schulze, Hoitlingen). Briosa by Bon Courage/Fürst Nymphenburg (breeder and exhibitor: Bernhard Dodenhof, Bülstedt), who will move into a box in Austria, cost 3,000 Euros less.

And so it was a filly with a very up-to-date pedigree that led the field of the jumping foals. Chacco's Red Girl by Chacco-Blue/Kannan (breeder and exhibitor: ZG Hardekopf-Hartmann, Lüdersfeld), born via embryo transfer while her dam is successful in show jumping competitions at the same time, will probably not only make sport dreams come true. She is also an excellent recommendation for breeding due to her pedigree as a representative of the renowned dam line of Nordspitze. Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum's Le Mans, Philipp Weishaupt's Monte Bellini and Ingrid Klimke's Escada FRH are all descended from this line. Chaccos Red Girl cost 28,000 Euros and will spend the coming years in Brandenburg.

The 104 representatives of the 2021 vintage achieved an average price of 11,428 Euros. This is an increase of about 1,000 Euros compared to the previous year. 42 foals were bought by international customers. The buyers came not only from Europe, but also from Argentina, Mexico and the USA.
