Verden. It will be exciting again in Verden: On Wednesday, April 1, the free jumping championships of the Hannoveraner Jumper Breeding Program will take place. Around 80 three- and four-year-old talents are expected. Their pedigrees and dam lines are among the best that Hannover has to offer. The top-class youngster hopes will be judged by the internationally successful show-jumper and trainer Mario Stevens and Thomas Schönig of the Hannoveraner Verband.
From Verden into the wide world: Many international careers have already had their starting point in Verden. Currently Olympic Champion Rodrigo Pessoa from Brazil is highly successful internationally with Venice Beach by Voltaire/Escudo. The eleven-year-old won her division at the 2012 Free Jumping Championships and then made her way into top-class sport.
It is worth taking a look at the pedigrees and high-performing dam lines of the participants. All three and four-year olds whose sire and dam are registered in the Hannoveraner Jumper Breeding Program are eligible to participate. It is judged what makes a modern show jumper. In addition to scores for scope, ability and overall impression, jumping intelligence is also evaluated for the first time. When the champions have been awarded, Mario Stevens and Thomas Schönig will discuss the topic "situation of Hannoveraner show jumper breeding" in a panel discussion.
The entry results will be published on the Internet at hannoveraner.com. The start of the Free Jumping Championships depends on the entry result.
