O’Bryan’s pedigree offers an excellent cross of proven Dutch and German bloodlines that is so popular with today’s breeding. This pedigree is also full of FEI horses and O’Bryan HTF shows many of the same traits as his successful relatives displayed when they were his age. With his generally laid-back attitude, O’Bryan will be a lot of fun to bring undersaddle next year and we can’t wait to see him out showing.
Sire Olivi (Jazz-Aktion) offers both the performance and production record of a top sire and has been given the Keur predicate by the KWPN. Olivi’s competition record includes the PAVO Cup Finals, the French Young Rider Championships, and CDI Grand Prix. His offspring have earned him an incredibly high Dressage Index and he was 2nd on the KWPN Sire Rankings as well as 18th on the World Breeding Federation Sire Rankings. Olivi’s sire Jazz is one of the most significant sires in modern dressage breeding and was an international competitor himself and damsire Aktion competed in the European Championships, World Equestrian Games, and the Olympics. Olivi’s dam descends from one of Holland’s prized mare families.
O’Bryan’s dam is the Elite Hanoverian mare Raj Mahal HTF (Royal Prince-Donnerhall). Her offspring have been winners in-hand and undersaddle in both dressage and hunters. The rideability of the Raj Mahal offspring has been excellent. Two of Raj Mahal’s siblings have been successful FEI horses and O’Bryan reminds us a lot of them. Raj’s sire Royal Prince finished 4th at the World Championships for Young Horses and competed to FEI and grandsire Donnerhall is on the most influential sires for dressage breeding around the world. Raj Mahal is the only daughter in North America of the exceptional mare Primavera.
O’Bryan is registered with the American Hanoverian Society. He has a full set of screening x-rays that were taken as a yearling. Enjoy this summer/fall developing a relationship with him and playing with some groundwork. He’ll be ready to start next spring.
