Verden. The Verden auction year will celebrate its debut on Saturday, January 21. The first 2017 auction collection will feature 98 futurity prospects with the auction itself starting as of 03:00 pm.
60 dressage horses were carefully selected to match market requirements. Darjeeling, born in 2013, will be the number one of the auction. The eagerly moving and excellently to ride Don Darius/Royal Blend-son was bred by Klaus Kropp from Bremen and will be exhibited by Filijan Müller from Nienburg. Tradition of success also dominates the show jumping collection, made up of 38 young promising jumpers. The number four of the auction is a young jumper whose dam and granddam were already sold in Verden. Quétal by Quite Rubin/Ludwigs As, bred by Diether Baust, already won and was placed in young jumper development classes of novice and elementary level. The Verden auction period will start on January 9. Highlight of the program will be the public presentation on Saturday, January 14, and on Wednesday, January 18.

Former Verden auction horses find new owners all over the world and are successfully shown at international tournaments. Just as the cover hero of the Verden Auction in January, Entebbe de Hus by Embassy/Carbid (breeder: Horst and Jeanine Petersen, Salzhausen). He was discovered at the Foal Auction and sold to France at the 2007 stallion sales. Last year, he successfully participated at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro with the French Karim Florent Laghouag. The duo was member of the victorious French team.
