Maren Schlender has been working at the Hannoveraner Verband since 2008 and has been Deputy Breeding Director since the end of 2019. At the beginning of 2022, she took over the management of the International Breeding Department at the Verband.  This includes above all the support of foreign breeders, as well as the cooperation with the daughter societies.

In addition to many judging activities for mares, foals and stallions in Germany, registration tours in Europe and overseas are on the agenda during the year.

Maren grew up on a farm and studied agricultural science. As a young girl, she participated in young breeder competitions and rode horses on the side. As a Verband youth spokesperson and trainer of the Hanoverian Young Breeders Team, she got to know the association work in the Hanoverian Society and started working as an assistant to the breeding director after her studies.
